SAT Phones(Satellite Phones)

A satellite telephone, satellite phone, or satphone is a type of mobile phone that connects to orbiting satellites instead of terrestrial cell sites. Depending on the architecture of a particular system, coverage may include the entire Earth, or only specific regions.
Until recently, it has been believed that satellite telephony is a technology designed exclusively for soldiers, seamen or public administration. Nowadays more and more individuals, companies, businessmen and travelers use it. Satellite technology gives feeling of safety and guarantees constant global communication.
Modern satellite phones are very similar to standard mobile phones in terms of appearance and functionality. They also need SIM card and enable using pre-paid (reloadable card) or post-paid (subscription) system. The difference between the satellite phone and mobile roaming is lower cost of international calls, free of charge incoming calls and SMS regardless of network, as well as unlimited coverage. Satellite phones offer international roaming at the lowest cost! TS2 satellite phones are of standard GSM mobile phone size.
