ProPakistani Hacked - Contains Links to Payday Loans Site

ProPakistani.PK is the leading website in Pakistan which covers the Pakistani telecom sector and IT news. It is quite popular in Pakistan where it has gained an Alexa rank of 153. Today I noticed a weird thing on their website when I opened their website on my mobile phone. I found a link to quick-loans.tripod.co.uk in their header but if you open it on your computer, it is not shown. On further investigation I found that the link was hidden using the following code:

On opening the website nothing shows up:

But when I looked at the source code of the website, I found a link to Payday loans website:

Now there are only two possibilities of this:

A) The site is hacked.
B) Aamir Attaa (owner) is selling links on his site.

I think the option A will be true. There is a lot of heat going on with the spammy Payday loans showing up in the SERPs having links from hacked sites. Google also shows a notification in the Webmaster tools if it detects any unnatural links on a site. Probably Aamir Attaa is unaware of this situation.

If Aamir Attaa is reading this, then I strongly recommend him to remove the links ASAP.

Check Your Polling Station Details By Sending SMS

If you are still wondering where you are supposed to go and cast your vote and do not know your polling station then do not worry because you cane easily find out the details of your designated polling station by sending out a SMS.

Here is the procedure to check out your polling station:

Create a new SMS
Enter your CNIC with dashes
Send the SMS to 8300

You will get a reply in a few seconds from the ECP containing your polling station details. Have a look at an example of the SMS you will get:

The reply will be in the Urdu language. The "silsila number" is the serial number. More than 40 million people have already availed this service. Do not waste time and check out your polling station now if you want to to cast your vote.

You can send multiple SMS to 8300 to find the polling station of all of your family members.

Protest Against Load Shedding in Lahore

Looks like load shedding has returned and this time with more intensity. With the rise in temperature, the duration of unscheduled load-shedding has been increasing day by day and even the locals of the city Lahore are facing up to 17-20 hours of power outages. At the time of writing this, there is no light in my area for more than 7 hours. Yesterday there was no electricity for more than 16 hours.

Our sources inside the Wapda are saying the electricity shortfall has reached 5000 mega watt. This sudden increase in load shedding has disturbed the normal routine work of the citizens. Similar situations are witnessed in all the major cities of Punjab.

With the increase in load shedding, the public protests have also been increased due to which Wapda has tightened its security near grid stations to protect them. A Wapda official has said to Cellular Pak reporter that the gas supply to Uch powerhouse has been restored and this condition will be improved in the coming days.

Satellite Images Of Allama Iqbal Airport Lahore

Allama Iqbal Airport is located in Lahore - Capital of province Punjab. The airport is an economic hub for the Lahore. The old airport was not equipped with the modern infrastructure due to which the whole building of the airport was rebuilt again keeping in view the modern airports of the world.

Have a look at the satellite image of the Allama Iqbal Airport:

The old building of Airport was not so big as compared to the current building. The old building is now used as camp for Pilgrims during the Hajj Season. Have a look at the old building for Airport:

There are 5 terminals present in the Airport. So at a time up to 5 flights can be managed:

The airport has its own Mosque where the workers and officers can offer prayer:

The surroundings of the airport was empty in the beginning but now different housing schemes have been build around the airport. One of them is Askari X:

The Airport remains open 24 hours a day, 7 days a week and 365 days of the year. Allama Iqbal Airport is an important part of the Lahore. There are several buildings under construction in the surroundings of the airport which will be future hotels and shopping malls.

A branch of Metro Cash & carry store is also present which serves as a quality store for the residents of Askari X and neighborhood areas.

Large Number of Citizens at Metro Bus Station For Free Travel

Free travel facility cause a large number of citizens gather at Metro bus station. Have a look at this picture:

This is not good for the metro bus service because such a huge crowd can damage the buses. Gov. of Punjab has already requested people for fair usage of service. Free travel service is for 1 month only but nobody knows in this 1 month, how much damage will to occur to buses.

Free Travel service is also not a good decision from financial point of view. Opposition parties in Punjab are already saying that this is just political point scoring because elections are just 1 months away.

Pakistani Group Hacked 400 Chinese Govt Sites

A group of Pakistani hackers have attacked and defaced more than 400 Chinese government sites. This is the first attack on Chinese websites from Pakistan.

The person behind this is a hacked who likes to go by the name of "code cracker". and is a part of famous Pakistani Hacking Group "Pakistan Cyber Army". Pakistan Cyber Army is also responsible for hacking many Indian government sites.

After getting control on the sites, the hacker posted his groups' signature defacement image on the official web site of Xuchang City People's Procuratorate.The motive behind this attack is still not clear.

The attack on sites have opened a new discussion that new security measures should be applied and all big websites should re-check their site security to avoid such attacks.

How long it will take to recover those sites? The question is still unanswered.

Rapid Transport System Model Town Lahore in Last Phase of Construction. This project will be completed in the near future. This project will solve the problem of traffic and quality lack of quality transport. This is the very first project of its kind in Pakistan. Previously no such project is present in Pakistan.

As you can see in the picture that it is in the semi-last phase of its construction. There are also some suggestions for making an extra line for ambulances in this rapid transport system but these suggestions are still waiting approval of authorities.

Rapid transport system will be of high economical value as well as a mode of fast transportation. Chief Minister of Punjab always strive to start and compete such kind of projects.

So it is requested to only buy the real products of G mobile. If any one was found using the brand name of G Mobile then serious actions will be taken against him.

Raja Pervaiz Ashraf also known as Rental Raja because of his corruption in rental power projects has become the new P.M. of Pakistan.

All of us know that he failed to delivered when he was Minister of Water & Electricity. There is no as such special abilities in Raja Pervaiz Ashraf but he is friend of Asif Ali Zardari and I think that's the only reason for which Zardari decided to choose him as the candidate for Prime Minister.

The new P.M. has promised that he will change the Pakistan within 3 months. Yet another promise just like all the promises in the past made by him.

Two Anchor persons of Dunya TV (Mubashir Luqman & Mehar Bukhari) were exposed. Finally it is clear that these were the 2 people who were actually sell out.

The whole interview of Malik Riaz was plotted and anchors were asking questions which were fixed. Mubashir Luqman also tried to involve Hamid Mir into this and he was forcing Malik Riaz to tell his name on air. Our sources says that these 2 anchor persons have been awarded with plots in Bahria town and cash. There is also a rumor that Kahif Abasi was also invloved in this.

PEMRA Issued Warning Notice to TV Channels,FM Radio and Cable

Pakistan Electronic Media Regulation authority has issued a warning notice to TV Channels, FM Radio and cable operators for violating the terms of PEMRA.

According to PEMRA notice, TV Channels, FM Radio and cable operators should avoid broadcasting of:

1.Abusive material and use of bad language
2.Pictures of bomb blast victims and blood
3.Aberrant advertisements
4.TV shows which promote other countries cultures
5.Other people personal matters

PEMRA has warned all the stake holders to stop the violation
of PEMRA rules otherwise serious action will be taken including the cancellation of their licenses.

I think PEMRA has taken a good step. This notice is from Director General Operations of PEMRA.
